OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

What is it?

OT for injured workers

Occupational Therapy (OT) can benefit those who have injured themselves at work. Patients at our clinic commonly become injured in the shoulders and wrists from overuse when typing on a keyboard, falling on their hands in the restaurant kitchen, catching a heavy falling object and more. OT is greatly beneficial as it can help workers regain maximal performance to carry, lift, push and pull, grab, grip, and handle objects similar to ones that can be found in the work place. OT assists with improving overall functional performance and preventing future injuries by creating awareness for one's work environment to help the patient return to work safely.

OT Treats injuries such as:

  • Tendon inflammations

    • Tenosynovitis

    • Epicondylitis

    • Bursitis

    • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

  • Sprains and Strains:
